There are two types of ion chromatography: non-suppressor method and suppressor method. While the suppressor method requires a suppressing module, the non-suppressor method can be used for ion analysis by simply connecting an electro-conductivity detector to an all-purpose LC system. At Shodex, we provide columns for cation/anion analysis for both non-suppressor and suppressor methods. We also provide columns for analyzing transition metal ions and rare earth metal ions using the post-column reaction system. Column selection can thus be made based on your analysis needs and type of ions.

These columns are for anion analysis using the suppressor method. They demonstrate good performance in fluoride ion assays, separation/removal of foreign organic acids and are not affected by carbonate system peaks.
